ASIA FRANKS
Mathematics Educator
Since she was in elementary school, teaching has always been a dream for Asia. Before her first 6th grade student in 2009, her younger brother was her only math student. She made sure that he improved his 2nd grade math skills on her mini chalkboard. At Temple University, Asia began building her private tutoring resume as a math tutor at the Math and Science Resource center on campus. Currently, Asia is an 11th year math teacher and a 4th year Assistant Principal at the Urban Assembly School for Applied Math and Science in the South Bronx. She has either taught or been the instructional team leader for all middle and high school math subjects. She is passionate about effective math instruction and diligently plans and delivers math lessons that ensure all of her students discover math concepts on their own. She stays true to these beliefs in her classroom and when she tutors students. She has more than 15 years of private tutoring experience and guarantees that she can differentiate instruction for your child and improve their math skills! When she is not creating a lesson plan or coaching math teachers, Asia is an avid runner and loves to travel!
